June 26, 2015, Armed Robbery

LOCATION: Dollar General Store, 1531 Paseo del Pueblo Sur, Taos, NM

ITEMS STOLEN: Cash

On Friday night, June 26th, 2015 at about 9:15 pm a lone armed male individual entered the Dollar General store located at 1531 Paseo del Pueblo Sur, Taos.  The suspect went directly to the checkout counter and demanded the cash from both cash registers.  While doing so, the suspect pulled a small semi-automatic handgun from his right front waist band or pants pocket and "racked" the slide.  The Suspect left immediately after obtaining the cash and fortunately, no one was injured.

The suspect is described as an adult, white, male between 5' 5" and 5' 8" tall of medium build.  He appears to have medium dark hair that goes down to his collar and was wearing a camouflage ball cap over a bandana.  He was wearing what appeared to be a short sleeved camouflage tee shirt that was too large for him, blue jeans, and what looked like lighter brown work type boots.

July 25, 2015, Auto Burglary

CRIME: Automobile Burglary
DATE & TIME: July 25th between 1:30 am and 9:30 am
LOCATION: World Mark Hotel, 229 Paseo del Pueblo Norte, Taos, NM
VICTIM VEHICLE: Blue, 1996 Dodge van
VALUE OF LOSS: > $7,000.00
ITEMS STOLEN: DJ and special effects lighting equipment

NARRATIVE: Between the hours of 1:30 am and 9:30 am on July 25th, unidentified individuals illegally gained access to the inside of a blue Dodge van that was parked in the World Mark Hotel in Taos, NM.  From the inside of the van numerous pieces of audio equipment, special effects lighting equipment as well as computer equipment used to run the other equipment was removed/stolen.  Also stolen were items of formal clothing, i.e. tuxedo pants, black dress pants, white dress shirts, men's red tuxedo vests, red men's ties and men's suspenders.

The Taos Police Department is seeking any information which will lead to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this Auto Burglary.
